Wine of the Week
Iris Vineyards 2018 Pinot Noir
Appellation: Willamette Valley
Chalice Estate Vineyard shares a fence line with famed King Estate Winery, and winemaker Aaron Lieberman turned proprietor Pamela Frye’s fruit into a Platinum for her Iris Vineyards project for the second straight year. Bright notes of boysenberry, strawberry and Rainier cherry pick up orange oil and cinnamon for a nicely layered and remarkably priced example of Pinot Noir that earned its way into the 2020 Platinum Judging via a gold medal at the Oregon Wine Competition in Ashland.
