Appellation: Okanagan Valley
Mystic River Vineyard near the Okanagan River in British Columbia is one of three sites nurtured by the Kruger family, which founded Wild Goose Vineyards in 1984. This wine was crafted by third-generation winemaker Nicholas Kruger during his first vintage after taking over the head winemaking duties from his father, Hagen. Aromas of intense tropical fruits, a hint of warm spicy clove and grapefruit grace the palate with similar flavors and lychee. This beautifully crafted wine finishes with mouthwatering acidity that goes on and on. The Krugers have used Mystic River Vineyard Gewürtztraminer to win Lt. Governor awards in British Columbia, and the 2019 vintage was voted best of show this summer at the Cascadia International Wine Competition.
