Appellation: Columbia Valley
Best Buy! A pink ‘56 Thunderbird is how one judge described the top entry in Wine Press Northwest magazine's recent judging of sparkling wine for the Fall 2019 issue. Fortunately, more than 200,000 of these beautiful bottles roll off the production line each year. Paula Eakin, who celebrates her 25th year with Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, dazzles with this cross-vintage melange of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. She creates a lovely pale salmon wardrobe with creamy Hermiston watermelon and brioche aromas as the spectacular mousse carries along bright strawberry and cherry flavors. There’s brilliance to the balanced structure that dances around the 1.6% residual sugar.
Rated “Unanimously Outstanding!” by Wine Press Northwest. (11% alc.)

Food pairings:Ste. Michelle's culinary team references the broad appeal of dry sparkling wines with its suggestions, which range from jalapeño and artichoke dip, a salad of mixed baby greens with fresh squeezed lemon, coconut shrimp drizzled with sweet chili sauce or a plate of Southern comfort food — waffles and fried chicken.
There is no tasting room for Domaine Ste. Michelle, but the bubbles are featured at both the Chateau Ste. Michelle tasting room in Woodinville and the Columbia Crest tasting room in Paterson.
Ste. Michelle Wine Estates also provides a "Find Our Wine" link to retailers and restaurants.
