Cougar Crest Estate Winery 2014 Estate Cabernet Franc

July 13, 2019

Appellation: Walla Walla Valley

A proud product of Washington State University, Deborah Hansen favors working with Cabernet Franc off her Cougar Hills Vineyard near Seven Hills. The nose of smoky oak, baking spice and Van cherry transitions to a fruit-filled palate loaded with blackberry, blueberry and plum. Cordial cherries and roasted bell pepper linger within the impeccably managed tannins. During Wine Press Northwest magazine’s “Bordeaux Gems” tasting earlier in the year, this release ranked among the best examples of Cabernet Franc.

Rated “Outstanding!” by Wine Press Northwest. (14.1% alc.)
