Earl Jones first earned a Platinum for Grenache which he brands using its traditional name in Spain with the 2004 vintage, and the 5 acres hes established continue to show versatility. Theres purple fruit and sweet chocolate on the nose, followed by chocolate-covered cherries, red currants and pomegranate. The structure is smooth, yet juicy. This highly decorated example earned a double gold medal at the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and golds at the Cascadia International Wine Competition and Judgment of Geyserville IV to gain entry into the 2017 Platinum Judging for Wine Press Northwest, where it earned a Platinum award from the 20-year-old publication.
