SEATTLE The annual celebration of Washington Wines begins Friday, March 1 with a full month of promotions by restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries to honor the award-winning wine of Washington state and all the partners who make it such a dynamic, exciting industry.
The month features a variety of opportunities to get involved, including discounts on Washington wine at top restaurants, free tastings at local retailers, winemaker dinners and Taste Washington the nations largest single-region wine and food event March 23- 24 in Seattle.
Washington Wine Month is a time to commemorate the hard work of Washingtons more than 750 wineries and 350 wine grape growers, said Steve Warner, president and CEO of the Washington State Wine Commission. Our states wine is enjoyed across the country, but its the enthusiasm of retailers, restaurants and hotels to promote Washington wine that always makes this month shine.
This year, the Wine Commission anticipates reaching more than 1.5 million impressions in new increased print, web and radio advertising around the month long promotions.
Promotions from retailers, restaurants, hotels and more will showcase Washington wines in events throughout the state.
