Walla Walla winery to open Woodinville tasting room

The way things are going in Washington these days, the above headline needs a bit more information - because it seems like a Walla Walla winery is opening a second tasting room in Woodinville about every other week.

In this case, it is the tiny, highly regarded Otis Kenyon that will open a tasting room in Apple Farm Village, at 14525 148th Ave. NE.

Otis Kenyon joins Dusted Valley, Pepper Bridge, Isenhower and Gifford Hirlinger from Walla Walla, as well as several others from the Tri-Cities and Yakima Valley who want to take advantage of the huge population base in the greater Seattle area.

Last year, Bookwalter opened a second tasting room in Woodinville, which helped the Richland winery enjoy 30% growth during one of the worst recessions in history.
