Where in Northwest Wine Country: Nov. 3, 2009

Poll:
Where was this photo taken?

Last week's mystery photo ended up with pretty much a split vote between two of the four choices.

Some 52% of you correctly guessed it was the "MOG Monster" at Chateau Ste. Michelle's Canoe Ridge Estate facility near Paterson, Wash., while 43% of you thought it was the destemmer/crusher at Barnard Griffin in Richland, Wash. Just 3% wondered if it was a machine harvester at Abacela Winery near Roseburg, Ore., and 2% guessed it was the sorting line at Anam Cara Cellars in Oregon's Chehalem Mountain AVA.

By the way, the MOG Monster is a new contraption this fall for Ste. Michelle that helps remove MOG (material other than grapes) during harvest.

This week's photo is rather fascinating and was found on Flickr. It should be fun to try and guess its origins.
