Walla Walla's 26 Brix closes

Walla Walla Wine News is reporting that 26 Brix is closing its doors.

The much-heralded restaurant in downtown Walla Walla, Wash., had gone through a reorganization with new investors and a revamped menu.

Apparently, that was not enough.

26 Brix was one of the first high-end restaurants to open during the Walla Walla wine boom (after Whitehouse Crawford) and could be a victim of being ahead of its time. It certainly did not fail because of its food or wine selections.
